(Note!!: make sure you know whether you're talking about the first or third movement. Bach titled the third one "Allegro" and left the first one without a tempo marking, but many modern editions put "Allegro" on the first movement too.)
Do you read music? If so, you can find several different scores at http://imslp.org/wiki/Brandenburg_Concerto_No.6_in_B-flat_major,_BWV_1051_%28Bach,_Johann_Sebastian%29 (and also an mp3, as well as lists of other recordings you can find on Amazon or iTunes). You'll notice there are hardly any dynamics given in the score, but if you listen to a recording you'll hear a lot. Baroque composers didn't tell performers as much about *how* to play the music, just which notes to play, but they assumed that performers would make their own decisions about tempo, changes in volume, etc.
