When she's not moonlighting as back-up singer for acclaimed
retro/pop group Bird and the Bee (Bluenote), Alex
Lilly is painstakingly crafting the artful electronic pop of
COLORFORMS. Frequently appearing live as a quartet,
Colorforms exhibits a compositional sensibility that's as at home with
Stereolab as it is with Prokofiev.
Colorforms is currently in that state known to all musicians with a
weary sense of creative duty as RECORD MODE. Their debut album
is due for release sometime between Valentine's Day and the Spring Equinox. "It
will make an awesome housewarming gift and it will be brilliant."
