What's the differance between Quebec french and french in France?
Is it really that much of a differance or is it like American english and British english which really aren't that differant. But I want to learn french and if there's that much of a differance how come they don't offer Quebec french on like Rosetta Stone?
Quebec French is less modern than French French.
People from Quebec have a strong accent, while technically French is spoken without any accentuation, and use a lot of English expressions directly translated into French, which sound weird to the French (from France).
As a French, I affirm that we often don't understand people from Quebec who have a strong accent !
French-speaking films from Quebec generally need to be subtitled for French people to understand !
So, I would say there is more difference between French from France and French from Quebec than between (British) English and American English.
