i got caught tonight throwing cigarette butt from my car, do you guys have any idea how much the fine is?
My car window was open, when i made a left turn, the cigarette from my left hand flew out the window, a cop got me as littering, ticket was issued, do you have any idea how much that ticket gonna be?
It will depend on what State you are in and what the local laws are for littering. Here in PA it can range from $50.00 to $500.00.
I would imagine that you will get a standard fine for this and most so called standard fines are again from $50.00 up. You may be able to talk to the Judge or District Court and accept a lesser charge.
I have heard of Community Service, ex: picking up roadside trash for a specified period of time, raking leaves, and shoveling walks being the punishment for such offenses also.
Not to be jumping on the "No Smoking" bandwagon but, that cig probably just cost you far more than it was worth! I hope you can quit smoking and I hope your fine or sentence in very small.
