At Home Treatments with Aloe Vera
If you are like most women who are moving towards natural and organic beauty treatments, then Aloe Vera is for you. A plant from the lily family, Aloe Vera is widely used for commercial beauty products and even health products such as vitamins. Often times, you would read that the plant is a natural 'emollient' which means it has moisturizing and soothing properties.
Your lipstick might just have Aloe as its emollient, to soothe dry flaky lips. You may even be surprised that some toilet paper and facial tissues have this plant as an ingredient to offer moisturizing properties to consumers.
Do you want to try using Aloe as home treatments? It's not as sticky as it sounds! Here are simple ways to incorporate aloe vera's natural goodness into your daily life.
1. Use Aloe Vera for Dry Hair
Hair conditioners could be expensive, especially when you like to use it daily. No need to spend so much to get shiny, long, and healthy hair. Just pick out a stem from the Aloe Vera plant, carefully split the the stem to open with a small knife. Scoop out the gel and work it onto your hair and scalp. You may need to use more than a stem depending on your hair length.
2. Keep it in the Kitchen for Minor Burns
How many times has cooking oil accidentally landed on your forearm? Keep a container within your reach inside the kitchen and apply it to minor burns. It's best to store gel inside the refrigerator, on a small container.
