So yesterday I found this old bike on the side of the road by my friends house....the back tire assembly is kinda screwed up so you can't really ride it.
I decided to bring it home(which took two hours because my friend wouldn't let me put it in his car so I had to walk...in 93 dergee heat)and fix it up...I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it because I can't find anything on the intternet.
I really would just like to know how old it is and maybe gfet a picture of one i good condition so I can make it look original when I restore it...Here arethe links to some pictures.
That bike is called a "clunker". This means it was originally a midweight bike- perhaps from the late 60s/early 70s that was transformed into a mountain bike sometime in the 80s- but before there was such a thing as mountain bikes.
Um, if I were you I'd just make it rideable and have fun on it. No way it is worth restoration.
By the way- it has an old Schwinn fork on it.
