A culture that emphasizes its value in money, profit and long work hours does not have much interest and time for children. As long as the core of a person's being in a society is about money and not the people, love for children is not present.
Even people who love children will not have the opportunity to have a healthy relationship with their children as long as they live in this culture.
Starting from the day they are born, the children are put away at childcare centers so the parent can work. Some babies aren't even breastfed because the mother has to go back to work just weeks after giving birth- or its cut short for the same reason.
All studies about early childhood - and common sense - says that the first two years in a human life is the most important for their development, it's when they learn to feel safe, become grounded and create bonds to the parent. Still, this does not have any regard in this culture because money is more important, particular for the corporations that do not have any concerns about anyone or anything then themselves and their earnings. What's good for children and creating a healthy population isn't their concern. It's probably more in their interest to have a culture that is raising unattached distant people without a feeling of security. That makes them easy to manipulate and to move around where the corporation needs them, without any strings to families or values in a culture.
When the children are in school, they have to behave like grown-ups, and are not allowed to play or to have regular breaks to run around on the school grounds. Most children need a break after working for 45 minutes and at least a 15 minutes break to run around outside on the school ground. The healthy kids will now learn that something is wrong with them and to confirm this feeling they are medicated for ADHD. I'm not saying that all are, but some are on medication because they are simply kids.
By the time kids finish school many of them have learned that something is wrong with them, to be detached and to feel unsafe. The ongoing wars that the US has started toward other countries confirm that you aren't safe and that there are dangerous people "out there".
Healthy children are raised to feel safe, to learn that they are perfect in their own right and that people are generally good and wish you well in life. Besides people who are abusive toward children do not often come from "other places"; statistically 90% of reported rapes of children less than 12 years of age were done by someone the victim knew. What to do:
Parents need to stay home with their children for at least two year. It's most natural that the mother stays home with the child during the first year- since she is breastfeeding. If the child is done breastfeeding by the second year the father should stay home with the child- to have the opportunity to bond with the child. To be able to do this, new parents need to be paid salary when they are staying at home with their child, and as we know this doesn't concern incorporations. However it should concern the government and they should demand this right for every parent and every child in the USA.
Children should be allowed to be children and run around during recess and they should have plenty of breaks. Again the government seems to be the place to give the children the freedom to be children. If there are parents who sue the school for this, they should sign a contract beforehand that they can't sue the school - or they can come and pick up the children themselves during recess and sit with them in the classroom to make sure they don't move. If it's the insurance company that sues the schools, they can come and sit with the children who are not allowed to move. Isn't time common sense starts ruling the children - and not the corporations?
