There is a major difference between goal setting and goal-achieving. The main difference is one is an intellectual activity and the other is a lawful process. For some this may sound like a foreign language, however, after you have grasped the true meaning of the concepts and start applying them your results in whatever you set out to do will drastically change and your life will never be the same.
The brain has two distinctive sides, the right hemisphere and the left hemisphere. People who function primarily from the right hemisphere of the brain operate in a creative state, while people who are lean more towards the left hemisphere are linear thinkers. Everyone utilizes a combination of both brain hemispheres, however, one side is always dominant. For instance, famous artists such as the painter, Picasso and violinist, Yehudi Menuhin, primarily used the right hemisphere of the brain while great mathematicians Galileo and Pythagoras were left hemisphere driven.
Goal setting is an intellectual exercise, thus a left hemisphere function activity. When we set a goal we should not give a second thought as to how we will achieve it. The only prerequisite of goal setting is asking yourself do you really want it. That is it. Do you want it. Paint the picture in your mind and hold it steadfast. Setting a goal is just that, to set it and make sure that is what you really want.
Goal achieving is an entirely different activity. Once you set you goal and decide that you really want it, you then become emotionally involved with the goal and release it into your sub-conscious mind. The picture of what you want is vivid and clear. Goal achieving is a lawful process and it works the same in everyone. When you commit to achieving a goal you become emotionally attached to it. The law of the universe work together along with your desire to bring what you want into its physical state. People, things, and circumstances will yield behalf to cause what you want to take on its physical form. This process is not anomaly and works the same in all of us.
The reason people don't achieve their goals is because they stop thinking about a goal after it is set. The picture is not at the forefront. It gets lost in translation. Remember. goal setting is an intellectual activity. You can think all day and night about a goal, but until you commit to achieving, it remains just that, a thought. When you draw a line in the sand and commit to achieving the goal, no matter what it takes, that is when the universe will unfold the plan to you and bring all that is necessary into your life to bring the picture to life.
